Privacy Policy

Effective 21 June 2026 · ryanteo.dev

This Privacy Policy explains how the Macro Morning Brief (the "Brief"), operated by Ryan Teo (the "operator", "we", "us"), handles personal data in connection with the website at ryanteo.dev and the daily email edition. We aim to collect as little personal data as possible.

1. What we collect

2. How we use it

Your email address and name are used only to send you the Macro Morning Brief and occasional related service messages (e.g. a change to this policy). We do not use your data for advertising or automated decision-making.

3. The email edition

The Brief is sent via Gmail (Google). Recipients other than the primary addressee are placed in BCC, so subscribers cannot see one another's email addresses. Email delivery necessarily involves Google as a processor and your own email provider.

4. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data, and we do not share it for third-party marketing. Data is processed only by the infrastructure providers needed to run the service — currently GitHub (hosting), Google (fonts and email) — and may be disclosed if required by law.

The Brief's content is compiled from public and licensed market sources (e.g. FRED, Yahoo Finance, FXStreet, ECB/MOF/BoE) and curated research; these are data sources, not recipients of your personal data.

5. Retention

We keep your mailing-list details until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them, after which they are removed promptly. Hosting logs are retained by GitHub under its own schedule.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under Singapore's PDPA and the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to lodge a complaint with your data-protection authority. To unsubscribe or exercise any right, contact us by replying to any edition of the Brief (your reply reaches the operator directly) and we will action it promptly.

7. Children

The Brief is intended for a professional/adult audience and is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from them.

8. International users

The service is operated from Singapore and relies on providers (GitHub, Google) that may process data in other countries. By subscribing you understand your data may be processed outside your home jurisdiction.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; the "Effective" date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be noted on this page.

10. Contact

Questions or requests: contact us by replying to any edition of the Brief (your reply reaches the operator directly).

The Macro Morning Brief is provided for information only and is not investment, financial, legal or tax advice. Nothing in it is a solicitation or recommendation to buy or sell any security.
